My own TARDIS key by Hordriss
My own TARDIS key
Silver on a brass key, I'll take a picture in daylight so you can see the regal contrast between them but in the meantime...

Very pleased with my Romana sonic screwdriver but then it's hardly a complicated build.
Modern Evil Dalek Emperor complete by Hordriss
Modern Evil Dalek Emperor complete
A modern take on the Dalek Emperor from Evil of the Daleks. Now with correct eyestalk and throne.

It looks thinner in the pic than it actually is, must be the angle.

Romana's Sonic Screwdriver by Hordriss
Romana's Sonic Screwdriver
Thanks to the diligent elves at RPF I found out what the original prop was made from and found some good screencaps so here it is...

Less than £5 to make and in theory more accurate than the available replicas although those replicas are very good in their own ways and I'm pleased to own a couple.

I apologize for the picture quality but I have a very unsteady hand at times.

Just posted some more daleks, need to get round to photographing some more new creations.

The next piece I post will be inspired by the fantastic game - Emerald City Confidential (based on OZ books and more so than certain musicals) and by the South Park episode "It hits the fan"

Tantalizing? Of course not but I haven't posted a journal entry in ages.

Not at all, they're well deserved, I'd love to be able to make one for myself.

Hey! LOVE what you do and want like....everything you've made for myself. I love the clunky, chunky quality of classic Who props, they're so reassuring

Thanks, that's great to hear.

I miss the old style props, no they all look cobbled together out of old phones and such... well the old ones were made out of old crap too but they weren't made to look like they were... if you know what I mean... that sentence started out with a purpose.

I know what you mean, what I love about the classic props is the chunkiness about them, I love the big acrylic buttons and flick switches used on computers and things, not sure why. I wouldn't class it a fetish....

I miss the old TARDIS consoles for the same reason, purpose built as opposed to the sort of higgledy-piggledy look of the new ones.

Hey Hordriss! Welcome to #Doctor-Whovians! I've been a big fan of your props- very nice stuff. Also I'm obligated to ask you to read the submission guidelines if you plan to submit art to the gallery, for all that administrative stuff. And non-obligatorily but hopefully, to have a fun time browsing our gallery of awesome art. Also look forward to the weekly Doctor Who Internet link blogs.

Have a Who-full day and don't let the Daleks exterminate you! :D
